For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Go ahead! :)  Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Where's the St. Pat's Day parade and celebrations? :)

RR and RR,

About the photo. Arizona is an unusual state. It snows in Flagstaff, Arizona (the north). In Tucson and many other parts of AZ...it is desert. We played rugby in both elements in the same season!

About British sports...

Can't say I understand the sport of cricket... I used to get the "Australia Channel" in Qingdao and watch it anyway. (P.S. Looks like the British P.M. is becoming a basketball fan...)

Played 1 year of rugby as an inside center and 2 years of football (what we call soccer) as a halfback. In the U.S. - we also have an "indoor soccer" league which is played on what looks like a hockey rink covered with astroturf. Since I have been overseas I started following English football- though as an American I can't say I know all the rivalries. As an outsider- it appears to me that Man U., Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are the perennial favorites...and Man City is a relative newcomer to the top of the league standings. Am I right?

Cheers,

K of S

It was wonderful well-organized holiday! And it wasn't the show!

Please, explain me. I didn't understand him!

Hello, everybody!

I want to say that unfortunately I didn't visit the party, organized by Valentina. СПАСИБО ОГРОМНОЕ, ВАЛЯ!!! :):):)

And I want to say that I didn't understand the comment of The "King of Siping": why he compare the RUSSIAN HOLIDAY with crazy American show which nobody never saw and DON'T WANT TO WATCH!

Answer to your question: "I don't know". With the maddening world of the Chinese decision-making process....it may be awhile before I know. It could be Siping 3-days/ cc-4 days. Or Siping 5-days/ cc -2 days (Or Siping 7, cc-0, I hope not). Richard, jr asked if I would do another couchsurfing. We will see. That last event "got alot of mileage"....my former student is a TV producer....she put it on her news program. Here's that video that was on TV (go to the 16:30 minute mark and play). Take a look:
