For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Ah, found the downloadable version. Ugh, hate reading literature online. Must buy a printer. I might not be able to get to the book before the 18th, but I will attend anyway just to listen and meet fellow scifi fans. Once I get a printer set up, I can follow whatever Richard sets as the book to discuss.

As for myself, I read a lot of Philip K. Dick, Jorge Luis Borges, H. P. Lovecraft, Michael Moorcock, and Frank Herbert in High School in the 80s. I've mostly read non-fiction or historical fiction since then, but I still enjoy scifi TV and film, especially Twin Peaks (Scifi-ish), X-Files, the re-imagined Battlestar Galactical series, and now Terra Nova. As for films, my favorite scif were all the Philip K. Dick adaptations (e.g. Blade Runner, Minority Report, etc.), although I still haven't seen 'A Scanner Darkly' (should download that tonight...). Anyway, I'm looking forward to the evening!
