Description
zhou (粥, which means gruel in Mandarin). Traditional zhou is usually tasteless so get experimenting and submit your variation to be tasted and rated byexperts. If well received then itwill be added to the ”Book of Zhou”.
My favorite Chinese recipe for zhou is as follows:
I use a rice maker but you can use a covered pot.
Take one cup of Chinese rice, add plenty of water about 1 finger deep.
When the ice is ready, add diced spinach and diced carrots, add salt for
seasoning. Simple but very tasty.
