i love kool and the gang but please....dont play celebration....the whole party will all of a sudden start feeling like a cheesy quincenera or bat mitzvah or something

Two suggestions: "Earth, Wind, and Fire" and "Kool and the Gang". I'll leave the specifics up to you. Oh yes, I vote for Arthur Brown's "Fire" too.  If you play that one, afterwards Sir Richard can give a global warming update.
