For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

looking forward to tonight, but I may be a little late.  Perhaps I'll have to be an active spectator?

Interesting question Vinz

My view is that Ben has set up a great schedule- every third Tuesday of the month and we should keep that

The keen people from the Guilin Lu area will come to that

John's quizzes are more irregular - maybe 2 or 3 times a year and as such I think we could look to when Ben is not in town that John can hold his quizzes.

But for April, we can try and market it as Die Backstube vs LR Coffee!

May be it is something we should talk about at the next quiz. I will be there!

Or doing it one month here, one month there?

I don't know what to think of two quizzes a month, especially knowing that I prepared the questions for the next April Backstube one. Will people really go to Jingyue on the 15th if they already went to the one in the Warehouse on the 2nd? It is true that some people are left aside when we do it in Jingyue but I am afraid the organizing of two quizzes a month will only divide an already limited attendance...

What about doing one big one somewhere in the middle, like around south of Linhe jie? There are plenty of german beer bars there who would be happy to welcome us...even the original Backstube could be an option. What do you thinK?

This is the Guilin Lu event as opposed to Ben's regular monthly one out at Towards Jinyue at the Die Backstube
