For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

I think they call it figurative speech

I am going to assume that these "chickens" are not imported... they are, in fact, hatched and raised and slaughtered in China. Thus allowing the adjective use of "Chinese".

But wouldn't that just be a double entendre? That would be like saying, "an Australian kangaroo" or "Chinese panda"... it just becomes rhetorical at some point.

Do we not say spicy hot flavor! I mean, technically your right (dumbass) but if I walked in a shop (and yes, I know I am not you) and was approached by a FUUYAAARR!

Shopkeeper: Good morning Sir, how may I help you?

Moi: I would like a bag of crisps (chips to those who dunno) please.

Shopkeeper: Certainly Sir, which flavor would you like?

Moi: I'll take the Chinese Chicken flavor!!

I concede that you are in fact right, but whoever made that diagram for the tongue surely missed off Chinese...and Korean!

There you go again... when did HOT become a flavor?

Do the Chinese flavored Chicken Wings taste like Chinese?

What exactly does that mean?
