For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Event Description

On Saturday evening, Dec. 17th, Changchun Friends is sponsoring a night of holiday music from around the world.

Richard Roman asked David Puckett (白大卫) to coordinate the acts for this evening. He is looking for people who want to sing in a small choir or perhaps a song or duet. Instrumentalists and orators who would like to read some seasonal poems or stories are also welcomed.

Since we are an ex-pat group, we will not only sing in English but would like to share music from your home countries. The small choir will rehearse on Sunday late afternoon or evening (depending on participants' schedules) on Dec. 4 and 11.

Those of you who do not want to participate are encourage to attend this holiday event and join your Changchun Friends as they share music from the around the world this holiday season.

Not sure if I can attend. If you need more  performers I will try to arrange it but if you have enough people then I'll take a rain-check.

Yes, a fun night of music from around the world.  If you like to sing or play a musical instrument or want to give a reading, contact me either here on Changchun Friends or my email is: PuckDirect@hotmail.com.

We will limit the program to around 90 minutes which will include a sing-a-long of seasonal music.

The small choir will rehearse on Sunday late afternoon or evenings, Dec. 4 and 11 and before the program on Dec. 18.  We will use the piano at Happy Home.

Thanks and I hope to hear from you soon.

Warmly,

David 白大卫
