For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Dear Changchun Friends,

WLC would like to formally invite you to a festive 'Murder Mystery Dinner Party.' The dinner party requires all attendees to dress formally. The Murder Mystery is set in the roaring 20's in the United States of America. So if the ladies could make an effort to dress accordingly, then that would be great:)
Due to limited spaces, the cast has already been selected for the murder mystery, but we encourage you all to come down and enjoy the evening since it is New Year's Eve after all . See who's been cheating on who, see who's bribing who, who and why they are being blackmailed and also who's killed who and with what!!
We plan to have this glamorous evening on the 31st of December at Z space steak restaurant. The dinner itself will consist of 4 courses. The cost for this evening including dinner and muder mystery information booklets will be ¥250. We apologize to those who were not assigned an active role but people may pull out, so if you wish to be in the cast just let me know! Thanks. Certificates for:
'Super Sleuth' for those who solve the murder.
'Wealthiest player' or the one with the most money.
'Best costume' for the most creative.
'Best performer' for the Hollywood actor.

The story takes place in a casino, so I am looking for an individual to bring chips, maybe even a roulette wheel. I want them to host a poker game in the corner to give the evening some ambience. This person will receive a FREE meal!!
