For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Halloween Party 2011!!!

Once again, the amazing staff from Happy Home and Classic Bar are inviting us all to the most memorable party event this year!

With the undying support of the true Changchun Friends Society, and some guidance from Chris and Tim, it guarantees to be the ONLY Halloween Party in Changchun.

For those of you remember Halloween 2010 (and especially those of you who DON'T), that was a party that exceeded all of our expectations. 

We've found  a slightly new twist on the event, with new perks and opportunities; and we are going to make 2011 even bigger than last year. 

As always, people can expect competitions and prizes for best costumes: female, male and group categories. Of course, there will be drinks so delicious and affordable that it is downright FRIGHTENING. Special DJ's have been brought in just for this event (both Happy Home and Classic Bar) to keep your feet moving all night.

Festivities begin at 8pm at Happy Home. By MIDNIGHT  we will have migrated to Classic Bar where there will be a HUGE display of Halloween Madness; more dancing, more competitions and prizes and more amazing prices for delicious beverages.

One thing that I forgot to mention: This is a TOTALLY FREE event. That means there are no tickets to buy, no door charge to pay. Even the coat check will be FREE!
