For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Event Description

Everyone is invited to Grandpa's on Xikang Hutong for an evening of Christmas songs.

It's that time of the year again, and many of us are without our families. Here in Changchun, we all belong to one big family, so let's get together, show our appreciation for one another, and sing some of our old favourite Christmas songs.

If you play any sort of musical instrument at all, bring it along. The only caveat is that it has to be able to fit through the door (that means no church organs!) 

All instruments are welcome ... guitars, fiddles, violins, recorders, flutes, banjos, saxophones, trumpets, maracas ... yes, even accordions and mini-harps.

If you don't know the words, that's okay! Lyrics will be available for most popular Christmas songs.
