For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Some people say that faith, belief and religion are fundamental for the creation of a healthy society. This debate will focus on determining whether religion is a force for good in the world.
We are looking for two teams to support both views.
Richard Roman will lead the affirmative.
Mahatma Jack will lead the argument against.
May the force be with the winner!

It will be a heated evening with alot to be said, especually from my end.
Btw, Andrew Sullivan has been posting in his blog the transcription of a conversation he had with Christopher Hitchens about this topic xD I've enjoyed it quite a lot: http://dish.andrewsullivan.com/sully-and-hitch-after-dark/
