For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Than k You Richard for your consideration.  I look forward to the reply after you have inquired what can be done for those of us who don't drink and yet want to come and celebrate with the Friends.  You are doing the right thing for the community if you could get this straightened out .  I am sure you will get a lot more people who really want to be there but don't drink alcohol.  Thanks again Richard for you earnest consideration and understanding.  :>)

I completely agree with you Jo Ann!There should be an opportunity for those who don't drink alcohol to enjoy friends' company without paying an extra cost(I have missed lot of events cuz of that).I think the entrance should be free for those who don't drink alcohol, and they can pay for themselves their drinks.

Hi Richard, I will attend as long as the beverages that are provided on he 100 RMB entrance fee includes non-alchollic beverage as well for those of us who either don't drink for religious purposes or who an recovering alcoholics.  After this is Changchun Friends and we should not force people to drink alcohol to be able to come and enjoy the joy of the Friends we hold so dear.  By forcing to drink alcohol I mean not offering something that everyone can drink for the 100 RMB entrance fee. I think you understand what I am saying, I have been saying this for several years, but no one seems to understand that some people who have problems with alcohol or have a religious reason should not be given the opportunity to celebrate with the Friends  all night and have to pay 100 RMB plus and additional cost for a non-alcoholic. drink.
