PARTICIPANT QUALIFICATIONS
The participants should be included in the following categories:
- The foreign friends who are professional, technical or managerial personnel in the three kinds of foreign-invested enterprises or ventures in Changchun, which include sino-foreign joint ventures, cooperative businesses and exclusively foreign-owned enterprises;
- The staff members of the representative offices or agencies of the foreign government bodies or non-governmental organizations in Changchun;
- The foreign students, teachers or the people who are receiving training in colleges and universities of Changchun;
- The foreign people who is doing businesses or working in various fields in Changchun;
- The family members of the foreign friends studying or working in Changchun.
DISCIPLINES
- Football: Team event, for men only;
- Basketball: Team event, for men only;
- Volleyball: Team event, for men only;
- Tennis: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles;
- Badminton: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles;
- Table Tennis: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles;
- Shooting: Men’s Single Rifle Event (small caliber), Women’s Single Rifle Event (small caliber) and Men’s Single Pistol Event and Women’s Single Pistol Event;
- Swimming: Men’s 50-meter Freestyle, Women’s 50-meter Freestyle, Men’s 100-meter Freestyle, Women’s 100-meter Freestyle, Men’s 50-meter Breaststroke, Women’s 100-meter Breaststroke, Men’s 100-meter Breaststroke and Women’s 100-meter Breaststroke.
FOR ENTRIES
- If the participants are employed by an enterprise, school or association, the employer shall take the responsibility of recommending the qualified participants and to register them at the Organizing Committee Office;
- Family members of foreign friends and participants without any organizations can directly register at the Organizing Committee Office.
- The registration can also be processed through the official website of Changchun Municipal People’s Government.
All the organizations can register no more than 2 teams for a team event (basketball, volleyball and football) and an entertainment event, which is the Tug-of-war;
Each organization can register no more than 2 people or 2 doubles for a single event (badminton, table tennis and tennis);
An individual participant can register no more than 2 single events and 1 team event or one entertainment event.
Deadline of entries
All the application must be submitted before May 10, 2014.
AWARDS & PRIZES
- For single event, all the top 6 will be collected and granted with prizes and certificates based on the ranking.
- For team event, all the top 6 will be collected, categorized in No.1, No.2 and No.3; the trophies, souvenirs and certificates will be presented to the winners.
- For entertainment event, the top 3 will be presented with souvenirs and certificates.

Dear Vinz, the requirement number 1 is you should be a foreigner, not a Chinese. Number 2, for registration, you'd better to sign up under the name of an organization in which you are working with or associated. For example, a foreign teacher in Jilin University should goes to Jilin University and ask the school to make proper arrangement; an overseas technician or staff working in FAW-VW should goes to the office of FAW-VW. The organizer has sent official note to most of the employer which involved foreigners. In case you are not employed, you can form a team with some other friends, let's say "Team of Changchun Friends". You may think requirement number 2 does not make any sense, but it is not. Before the game starts, all the information related to the "who play what in where and with whom" will be released on the "meeting of team leaders", if you do not have an organization, you may likely to miss those information.

Leo, I remember that for the last events, there were discussions about the requirements to take part in the shooting category. What is the result of all this? Can anybody attend?

Ha, dear friend, they are still thinking about what kind of staff could become the winning souvenirs for this year's event, but not finalized yet. It depends on the budget...
