For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Ladies and Gentleman,
It is with great pleasure that The Royal Society for the Promulgation of Classical Music and Opera will host its first ever event in the Paris of Jilin, Chang Chun.
It will be a sit down affair, where guests and lovers of the classics may dine upon fruits and cured meats, sup the sumptuous wines of Italy and France and come together in the realms of the musical gods.
Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, Puccini, Vivaldi, Verdi and of course, Mozart!
There will be candlelit dinner with an antipasto spread, white table cloths and our own personal violinist to serenade the night away.
Please come along and enjoy this rare opportunity to experience a truly civilised evening at Grandpa’s Tavern.

I hope you are having (or had, depending when you read this) a fine time at the dinner. I would have liked being there, but unfortunately, the stress of my travels has finally affected me. By this afternoon I was suffering a terrible cold, and would not have been good company - especially for a first meet-up.
Here is the program

Hi Heide, I must stress the only thing you need to worry about is yourt passion for classical music. Wear whatever you want. We hope to see you there.
Hi, all! I only recently arrived to Changchun and joined Changchun Friends, so I'm pretty unfamiliar with the venues. Is this a casual-dress affair, or do I need to wear something a little nicer?
It has been changed several times but will defo go ahead this saturday.
All are welcome.
Hello all, we have had to put the event back by just one week as we are waiting on some good wine to be delivered. Hope this does not deter you all from coming.
