For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Changchun Friends

a great way to get involved

An insider's inforamtion about Rutgers Business School

Regarding Rutgers, we have the following questions. As Rutgers is now recruiting Chinese students in Changchun, as parents, nobody is 100% sure whether all the money and efforts involved are worth trying and we don't have any time and money to lose either.

1) Is the diploma granted by Newark and New Brunswick the same? Do they rank the same in pan-American university list?

2) Do you think this school is a good choice for Chinese overseas students? What major(s) is popular? Any major is especially good for Chinese student to take?

3) Are there any big problems to overcome if Chinese students start from Preliminary (1 year) before they are admitted to the first year of Bachelor?

4) Are the career prospect good for graduates from this university? Any chances for Chinese finding job opportunities in the State after they graduate?

5) Are the two campuses of Rutgers independently run? Are there differences in terms of academic choices and fees? How are they related to Rutgers itself?

Charles is asking for the worrying parents. If anybody helps, a lot of parents would be removed the thorn in their side. Many thanks in advance!
