Documentary lovers

I'm always interested to watch a good documentary. Some examples of my favorites are Fog of War, Food Inc, and, the most recent one I just watched, Hot Coffee. A brilliant film about the misconceptions we have about civil lawsuits. Everyone knows of the McDonalds women who was awarded 2+ million for spilling coffee on herself, right? Well this movie will show what really happened along with 2 other cases were ordinary citizens were wronged by private companies, medical profession and political operatives.

SHOAH (1985)

If you doubt the impact of this mightiest of movies, take time next month to catch IFC’s 25th-anniversary rerelease, an ennobling theatrical experience. We’ll leave you with a taste of the first image: A graying man sings a quiet tune on a rowboat floating downstream, his eyes lost in thought. As a 13-year-old Jewish captive, he was beloved by his SS guards for his voice.
