For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Changchun Friends

a great way to get involved

What's the cheapest way to get to Longjia Airport?

I'm not sure but I heard there was a train that can take you there from the train station? I'm willing to do any combination of bus/train/light rail as long as it's cheap.

Same station, it still called Changchun Station, but you enter through the north, the south extrance is closed for now.  The taxi drivers know where to take you.

Slightly off topic but where do trains to Beijing now leave from - still the old station?

Taking the CRH to Jilin City would be the cheapest alternative yet the most inconvenient if you've got tons of luggage.  Imagine yourself shoving your way amidst a sea of travellers with your big trunk, then cartwheeling down the steps through the tunnel leading to the new station then up again... But hey, it's really the cheapest.. oopps.. late reply to your post..

News has it that a new station would open for the G Trains that take 3 hours to The Jing instead of 6 or so..
