For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.
I am planning on a special evening dedicated to the greatest writer of English in the 20th century (along with George Orwell and Evelyn Waugh). The master himself P G Wodehouse
here are just some of his quotes
She looked as if she had been poured into her clothes and had forgotten to say "when."
"Have you ever tasted such filthy coffee?" "Never" said Joe, though he had lived in French hotels (Apologies to Vincent!)
I always advise people never to give advice
Wilfred Allsop was sitting up, his face pale, his eyes glassy, his hair disordered. He looked like the poet Shelley after a big night out with Lord Byron
There is more!

The Sunday Times 29.08.04Buy Books by PG WodehouseBertie Wooster's friend — a certain Claude Cattennole Pirbright — was in low spirits, so P G Wodehouse wrote that "his brow was sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought and his air was that of a man who, if he said 'allo girls' would have said it like someone in a Russian drama announcing that grandpapa had hanged himself in the barn". |
Are Wodehouse and Winehouse related English names?
