For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

My favorite is Roti Bun.. thing is I like their Bun + the coffee. staffs are friendly too.. am not really good in differentiating coffee tastes.. to me as long as its coffee they all taste the same.. but the usual coffee i order is cappucino.. then ill pair it with the bun.. mmm perfect combination.. it is best done on lazy afternoons ;-)

I think it's kind of funny that you have this here. Most coffee shops are so very small that if you start advertising too much about the place you like to visit, then you won't get your own seat! (in Kuwait, I shared my favorite, most reliable, English speaking taxi driver with a couple of friends and then I had to compete with them for time! :() However, since I want this place to stay open and I can only go on Sundays, my favorite is the Coffee 618 in the mall behind Shangrila on the 6th Floor on Sundays I go from 12-2pm before mass. Min was nice enough to take me there my first weekend. It has wifi, coffee is good (just know that a Mocha is a latte with tons of whip cream and chocolate drizzled on top so you're not disappointed!) Delicious sandwiches and desserts! I like thier Strawberry Yogurt too. :)

Zhang Cafe was a good experience, tasting the food and drinks while watching the old antiques around, bring back sweet memories of the old days.

The Go-in on Guilin Hutong is fine--but the Go-in just up the street from The Happy Home is absolutely primo.  Excellent deco, full of comfortable alcoves.

I would go for Go in Cafe..I used to live close by...

Since I move to Yatai Dajie I miss hanging out in any coffee shop in GuilinLu and around the area. Plus I bought my own coffee maker... With this group, I would know where to go..keep posting guys..and many thanks ahead..

Best coffee for me has to go to the Rotti Bun on Guilinlu and Changqing Jie.

I would have to go with Richard on Go in Cafe for my favorite, love the individual rooms they have! Friendly there too!

As for Wi-Fi, I remember a cafe opposite the Mayflower on Mudan Jie having fast internet, but forgot the name - the one with a pagoda out in the garden!

One of my favoirite is Zhang GOIN, or Lao Zhang as he likes to be called (old Zhang). Very friendly English speaking staff, great deco' and good location. Sometimes they organize nice cultural events and Sound of Changchun also played in there. Located in Xikang Street corner to Xinjiang Street.
