For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

I have been now for the last month tethering my ipad to any of my VIP students computers, whether it be their laptop or personal computer at home. The reason I have been doing this is because I have spent around €500 on decent educational apps for my teaching. Apps that update and always give me the current questions for topics and issues.
Most of these apps are interactive so I just hand over the ipad and watch them work on the big screen. It really does bring a different way of teaching into the classroom.

VGA plug in with alternate charging opportunity!

This neat little tool allows me to plug into any tv or projector I wish. Gone are the days where I had to lug around my laptop. The vga plug in starts at 68rmb on taobao and the HDMI starts at 94rmb. I have to say the HDMI fitting is really nice because the head allows for constant charging whilst you do your presentation or watch a movie.

This game rocks guys. Its kind of like a futuristic shot em' up game but the graphics are great and the story is almost believable. This app isnt free, but it might offer a light version in the app store so check it out.

This first app is really good.It beats the pants off Google mapping in my opinion and offers really simple and easy to use interface. I especially love that you can look at specialized maps too.
