Hello CC friends
I love to party and dance but I really don't fancy the MF places, their prices and style of music.
Therefore I would (in co-operation with other interestees) like to start a group that plans parties every once in a while, where you can enjoy good music and drinks at a reasonable price. I don't know exactly where yet. But i.e. at Changs Goin Café or some other places where we would be able to make our own party and have the possibility to decide the style of music etc.
I have some experience DJing and would love to play some party/dancing music for CC friends. But it would also be nice if somebody else would join in...
So don't be shy or hold back.
Let's throw some m........... parties somewhere in this city :)
My suggestion for the first party's theme is Swing, old time rock n' roll & Rhythm and blues...
But I am also up for playing some: Soul, Funk, Hip-hop/Rap, Rock, Electro, Balkan, Ska, Latin and Afrobeat etc.
So what say ye!? Shall we?

Making progress...
Richard Ridealgh and I will go and talk to them at the Goin café this week. I'll have a plan drawn up and we'll hopefully be able to post a date on the first event later this week!

I think it is the one where Alex and Vinz did their Pink Floyd night. Jonas - just mention Changchun Friends - they know us. also, jack is thinking of having his photo exhibition there.

That's a lot of good ideas. I especially like the houseparty and the jazz thing. House/dance is not really my speciality but maybe someone else would be up for that... I talked to Jackson about during something already this coming weekend. I will post it here asap if we do :) Other than that I would really like to have a party at Going Café because of the mix of bar and stage and dancefloor they have there. Does anyone have some comtacts there?

Richard - how about having the beer tasting on the 22nd June which is the day of the first test between the Wallabies and the British Lions.

Jonas, when Pedro gets back, ask him to throw a house party. He has a nice big space ad pool table. I love house parties
