For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Just visited the Koala Australian restaurant on Xikang Hutong, just off Mudan Jie. Fantastic food. The chef is from the Shangri La. Prices are very reasonable. Go there, taste it! Great stuff!

Western style bar and restaurant situated near the Shangri La. Starting from the Peoples Square roundabout head towards the Shangri La . Keep on past for about 500 meters and you come to Wing On Street. Turn left and it is on the corner of Wing On Street and Xi an Hutong.

I had the Xuelong Super Snowflake steak and chips for 108 ( special offer of 88 at the mement). Delicious

Had a great experience at the new Thai restaurant on by Xinmin Square (新民广场) near Guillin Lu last night. Authentic Thai curries from the Thai chef, Thai beer, pleasant outdoor seating area and extremely friendly service. I highly recommend checking it out.
