For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Yes, these are from the 17 June thunderstorm. It sat over top of us for about half an hour before I decided to attempt a few shots. Normally these storms just roll on by, but this one stayed for a while. There were some really beautiful forked lightning just south of me, but my windows prevented me from getting any shots off. Next time.

Great work, Chris.

Maybe "the powers that be" should consider putting together a coffeetable book of Changchun photos.

I can think of a few OUTSTANDING photos just off the top of my head: the four musketeers, THIS LIGHTNING PHOTO, a couple of  the Tom Riggle photos, the photo of Sir Richard with his bevy of loyal female subjects(haha)....

It was a wonderful thunderstorm tonight - Are these from tonight? I sat for ages watching the spectacular show - got a few snaps and videos but nothing as good as this one - well done.
