For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Changchun Friends

a great way to get involved

Inspired from actual events. Almost a true story - and that's a first for the Choonies.

Oh, I've drawn my 50th character and there have been over 30 cartoons and I still haven't shown you all all yet. Not bad considering I had never cartooned anyone before the 18th of February or ever used this method to draw before - i.e. a computer mouse and Powerpoint..

But this community is full of great characters and so much material that can be cartooned and I hope to do a lot more during the year.

Very soon just on the final touches. And I am putting a lot out there so they have plenty of time to give me feedback before I print. The final cartoons are slightly different in some cases from the ones posted here and all reported typos etc have been corrected.

When does the first edition "Choonies Comic Book" come out, Martin? I want an autographed copy.  Lotta material. Gotta be close!

An action scene - great fun doing.

You have to join their skateboarding crew - and that would make an even better cartoon.

Sorry my skills don't extend to my legs and balancing.
