A little something about yourself - hobbies, interests, favorites, goals, etc: Jilin University-Lambton College (JLU-LC) is located in Changchun, the capital city of Jilin Province. Jilin University-Lambton College is a joint Chinese-foreign college and has been approved by the Ministry of Education, People’s Republic of China, which issued the PRC Chinese-foreign Joint Schooling Permit.

In April 1999, the Changchun Institute of Posts and Telecommunications signed the joint education agreement with Lambton College and Northwood University. In May 2000, joint schooling agreements were signed with the College of the North Atlantic and Memorial University in Newfoundland in order to provide students with access to the College of the North Atlantic’s programs in Telecommunications Engineering Technology and Computer Information and Technology. Students enrolled in these two programs are registered as College of the North Atlantic’s students and have the option of attending a fourth year and earning technical undergraduate degrees from Memorial University in Newfoundland, Canada. The former Changchun Institute of Posts and Telecommunications merged with the new Jilin University on June 12, 2000. In November 2000, Jilin University approved the renaming of Jilin University-Lambton College. The first group of graduates left Jilin University-Lambton College in 2003. Seven groups of undergraduate students have completed their studies and left the college from 2003 to 2009. Jilin University-Lambton College was rated by the “Sina 2008 Chinese Education Grand Ceremony” as one of the “Top 10 Chinese-foreign Joint Colleges in 2008”. By 2010, nearly 600 students have transferred to partner universities and colleges in Canada and the USA. By the end of June 2009, 228 of the graduates went on to pursue their studies in post-graduate programs (65 in domestic universities and 163 in overseas universities).
