For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Changchun Friends

a great way to get involved

Hope someone out there can help! Can anyone here help me with a simple question?

Which organisation offers the best Chinese language courses? I am not looking for  university level but rather somewhere that you go for a few hours each week to develop basic skills in both reading and speaking.

Hope someone out there can help!

BIHUA is the basic structure of the Chinese words, like the letter in the english words!
Reading and speaking are easy to study, but wirting is a little difficult!

this is a good question.chinese is difficult to learn for you guys.my son is studying the PINYIN.and recongnize the new chinese words are very difficult for him too.you must remember it then use it many times.there are too much BIHUA in one chinese word.so the basic skills decide your ability .maybe a normal chinese can teach u to speak.while cant teach u to read.this place is difficult to find indeed.i have s suggestion that hire one chinese tutor to teach several in a small class.this is a way to save money and learning.
