For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. A Visit to Jilin Province Museum for Han Dynasty Tomb Pottery

Today I took a visit to Jilin Province Museum to see the Han Dynasty tomb pottery exhibition(157 BC-141 BC) . The museum is located near Children's Park on Renmin Street. It's not big, and only a few people go there. I saw 20-30 staff and securities on one floor while not more than 5 viewers! The exhibition is not as gorgeous as i thought, but is still worth going, and it's free. The figurines are really beautiful and elegant in very simple shapes. If you're interested, you can have a look, too. (April 15 to June 15)

there's duplicates of ancient Chinese paintings on the second floor made by the Japanese 二玄社, really good stuff, also worth the trip guys~

actually the museum is not as poorly stocked as it appears to be, but they've been cutting back on exhibitions because the maintenance facilities suck... and most ancient Chinese paintings are pretty degradable;)

You're welcome. They have photography & Chinese ancient jade exhibition as well. But I didn't see eveything because I was kind of late, they close at 16:30. By the way, it's great to have a walk in Children's Park(just north to the museum), all the flowers are blooming now.
