For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Changchun Friends

a great way to get involved

A question on La Fa Shan (near Jiaohe, 40 miles east of Jilin). Has anyone been here? We are looking into the possibility of hiking there, spending the night in Jiaohe - or closer.

Also, any hotel recommendations?

Hotels around La Fa-shan: http://www.yododo.com/area/hotel/1-01-14-08-2298

Changchun bus route search: http://bus.mapbar.com/changchun/

Changchun Foreign Book Store(on Tongzhi Street, take Bus 62) has lots of original English books, but not used. Google map can help.

You can put the url in the column of http://translate.google.com and click translate.

Oh, and even more important, is there a website that has the bus routes of Changchun?

So this now becomes a Changchun question: Is there a place that sells English language books, preferably used?

I still want to find out info on this for future reference. But my wife and I figured that it would be better to just visit Changchun tomorrow instead.

But, by all means, any further information on my earlier questions is very much appreciated.
