a great way to get involved

4 GOALS for Messi and 1 for Ronaldo on Saturday 6th May has almost finished the race between the 2 players. That's Messi on 50 goals in the Spanish league and Ronaldo has 44. What a contest!!!

But the golden boot will be Messi's once again. That's Messi's 8th time he has scored 3 or more times in a game. He has broken so many records this year and he;s still 23.

Real Madrid win the league though and The Special One has done it again.

What a goal feast these 2 players have served up for 2 years running.

Two years ago Messi won it with 34 goals, last year Ronaldo won it with 40 goals.

This year the competition is even closer, better and with only 5 games to go in the Spanish League.

The big prize is given to the player who scores the most league goals in Europe but I have shown below all their goals just so you can see what amazing seasons they are having.

I am hoping Ronaldo does it as he is overshadowed by Messi but his achievements are amazing too.

But together and individually they are breaking so many records with the sheer amount of goals they have scored this year. Last year both scored 53 goals in all competitions - 106 goals - and they have already reached that total.

So is it going to be Messi or Ronaldo. Only a few games to go and both on 41 goals.

Update - Ronaldo now on 42 goals

They play each other on the 21st of April with Real Madrid 4 points ahead as of now.

Barca were again led home by Lionel Messi, who claimed his seventh hat-trick of the season, taking his season tally to a monumental 68 - a new European record as he breaks the previous record of 67 set by former Bayern Munich striker Gerd Muller in 1973.

Ronaldo has only scored a measly 62 goals for this season - ridiculous to be sitting in second place after scoring so many goals.

There's still 2 league games to go.

Well I called it  -

Chelsea v Bayern Munich

and we say goodbye to both Messi and Ronaldo.

Well done to Bayern Munich but I predict that Chelsea will win and Torres will star.

It's written in the stars.

Pele or Maradona before? This generation (my one hehe) the argument is between Messi and Ronaldo. What a great time to live and watch these maestros at work.

Even the cameraman nearly missed Torres's goal. A big hoof up field and there he was all on his lonesome with just the keeper to beat which he did with style and you could see what this goal meant to him from the celebration afterwards. And I did predict a Chelsea v Bayern final. But Chelsea have so many players suspended - at least 4 of the first team - such a shame for the players. The ref was just too harsh for what was a very fair game - competitive but not dirty - I don't think anybody should have been booked or sent of in either of the teams.

Well, after the bonkers Man Utd vs Everton match on Sunday another amazing game. When Barca went 2-0 up I thought that was curtains and went to bed (or returned to bed actually)

Lets see what Ronaldo can do tonight!

Amazing game but Chelsea draw 2-2  and Chelsea go through. Simple? No. Chelsea went down to 10 men in the 37th minute when Terry was sent off for violent conduct - he supposedly kneed Alexis Sanchez in the back. Barcelona were already 1 - 0  up at this time so it looked like that would be it. And soon after they are 2-0 and now ahead on aggregate. But then Chelsea threw them a wobbly and scored just before half time, against the odds and a brilliant goal as well goal from Ramirez. Game on - as now Chelsea are ahead on aggregate on the away goals rule.

Second half is wave after wave of Barcelona attacks and Messi misses a penalty(soft) and also hits the post but for all that possession and against 10 men they just can't get that goal they need. And when they throw everybody forward in the last minute of the game, they leave Torres all on his ownsome and a big clearance finds him and he scores a great goal to finish off Barcelona's night.

I called it but didn't expect such an amazing series of events. I said Chelsea for the cup and still do even though they have a few big names suspended for the final after this game - Terry, Meireles, Ivanovic - they have a big squad - pity to lose both Terry and Ivanonic - their main defenders. Utterly brilliant result for Chelsea but for Messi and co it's been a bad couple of weeks - losing to both Real Madrid and Chelsea - and end this year with no major prizes - they'll probably go crazy next season.

So Ronaldo looks favourite to win the golden boot and next Player of the year award - but I still think Chelsea and maybe Bayern Munich will ruin that party too.

Two footballers are sitting on a sofa, chatting. "God sent me down to Earth to teach people how to play soccer," says Cristiano Ronaldo. "Don’t be daft, I didn’t send anyone down to Earth," replies Messi.

The classico is over and I think the better team won on the night, 1-2 for Real. Barcelona saw a lot of the ball but met a very determined defense. My man of the match would be Ronaldo - very good game and great goal. That's 109 goals for Real Madrid and number 54 for Ronaldo in a Real shirt - what a season he is having!!! The league is not over yet but with a 7 point advantage and only 4 games to go, I can't see Real slipping up now - great result.
