For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.
I want to know if there is anyone in this town, the Great Chun, who can teach me how to play the violin.
I don't have a violin, but am willing to purchase one. Hiring is also an option.
I have been without music for too long now.
I know there are people in this town who can play, I HOPE THERE THOSE WHO CAN TEACH HOW TO PLAY.
Happy to pay, gunning to play, want to start today.
Anyone interested....?
After you have heard the violin in its full glory, nothing will ever come to compare.

hey Jack, you don't need to call me, just speak to the teacher. However, I sent you a msg last night.
Besides jack finding a teacher why don't we have a jamming night of violinists? What do you call a collection of violinists by the way? A group of musicians just jamming together would be great fun!
There is a Marvelous Chinese Violonist perform everynight at Z-Space Restaurant ,and he speak a good english, he is also member of the Jilin Symphony ,i can get some words with him about this
Hey martin your a star. can you text me your phone number so i can call you. thanks also nastya, do ask them when they come back, epic stuff!
it's easy to get an well-experienced teacher here in Changchun if you don't ask her to teach you in English, lol. After calling my friends(who play and teach), my friends' friends, some online information, there finally come up a teacher like this, she is a Jilin Universty graduate student, she started to play at age of 5 or 6, she won a couple of violin contest, she has had a two-year teaching experience, and she speaks English! she got a really high English mark at a Chinese GRE-like exam, and she promised she would try to do her best to grasp English violin terms, which are not too many actually. (and if your daily Chinese is good and you can grasp the 200-300 terms in Chinses, you will have more choice). Call her at 137 5607 5920, for she speaks English. Make an appointment and try out, good luck man.
hi Jack, i know Anton and Alexander,so i'll ask Alex about teaching when he back to Changchun)))
Awesome Martin. I have played before as i tried to teach myself. I can hold the damn thing properly but thats about it, haha. Also, English would be preferable in this case. If you have my phone number text me a time and place that is convenient for you to meet with this teacher and lets get cracking.

Hi Jack. There is a great chance of getting you a violin tutor. But first thing first, what's your level and in which language do you expect you will be taught. Then I will know the teacher's 'how-good', then the teacher will tell you his 'how-much'.
Excellent guys. So there are some players in town. Jordan - PE Jordan?
I'll speak to you tnite Richy bout these people.
He was fantastic! Met him at the happy Home watching Liverpool vs Arsenal the next week
