For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

I think D is Dr Norman Bethune

And Mary my Chinese wife says the fourth doesn't look Chinese.

I see how it could be either of these fine gentlemen but the most famous drawing of Da Vinci looks favourite.

photo of Darwin. I think it's a look alike for A.  Many people from my home in Kansas may try to tell you that Darwin never existed.

I'm pretty certain they are all from the 20th century. I'm still not sure about C and D. Unless I come up with something different I'm sticking with my answer.

3rd one is Thomas Edison. Just posted a photo of Thomas Edison.

c. Looks like Thomas Edison or Henry Ford.

OK. I will tell you B was not vandalized and I am sure that is Einstein.

D cannot be Chinese as it was covered in all sorts of gunge - and I doubt if he is Asian for the same reason unless he comes from the Land of the Rising Sun but I could be wrong. He is wearing a collared shirt so he is from the last century I'm guessing.

C.Could be a young Edison as he was a bow tie wearer.

A. I agree with Da Vinci

And D - he must be a Scientist or an Inventor - but who? He's not Scottish so that should narrow it down as we invented so many things - joking.

i think John has it about right. I think  his answers for B and C are correct, although Sharon may have a point about A. I did think Zeus, but remembered where I was! I think D is an Asian, possibly Chinese so I would say this one was never vandalized.
