For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

I'm also from New York City and even though I have lived in Changchun for awhile, NYC is still very special to me.  It is truly an amazing city to live in or visit.   40.741966°, -73.989286°

I grew up in Queens, one of the five boroughs of NYC. Queens maybe the most culturally diverse place in the world.  Since New York is an Atlantic coastal city, Queens has a large beach area. Pictured here is Rockaway Beach, a 5 minute walk from my house. I guess Rockaway is my hometown.   40.576988°, -73.837590°

My home town is Nongan County, not far from Changchun. My village is 6km from Songhuajiang river(松花江).I was born in a village in 1961 there. The main crop there is maize.Alost 90% of farmland is cultivated with corn.

My home town is now Leeds but I still think of Liverpool as the place that formed me.

Leeds is now a major financial and legal centre - the biggest outside of London and has truly transformed itself over the last 20 years

Some great Victorian architecture and the gateway to the wonderful countryside to the north. I will give more info later!

Melbourne - pronounced "Mel Ben" is the most liveable city in the world. I miss her.

I'm from NYC aka (New York City) or the borough of Manhattan.  What do I miss?  EVERYTHING!!!  The visual, auditory, feel & smells of my city's crazy multi-cultural people from all over the world...
