Event Description

Hello, I will organize with the World Life Club a huge miniature wargame. The thema is the battle of Gravelotte St Privat, one of the biggest battle of the Franco-Prussian war of 1870. The surface area of the game will be 15 sqm and the number of miniatures around 8 000, so the view will be quite spectacular. I will need 11 motivated players, 6 for the German team and 5 for the French team. If you like history and/or strategy game, like chess, please feel free to participate. The game will be organized in November or December and it will be a two-three days event.

The rule set is from the USA, it's '1870' and the game will be in English. The number of players can be from 7 to 11 so there is still few positions available.

Comment by Sebastien Bossard on October 14, 2011 at 14:44: Hello David, glad you are interested, I'm the only one who knows the game and I don't plan to play, I will be the referee. I will explain the rules on Friday evening and will help everybody to play after that, so don't worry, it's not that difficult. The best way to prepare yourself is to download the book of von Moltke about the war and read about this battle. By the way I can send by email pdf books about this war in English or French or German to everybody interested.
