For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Event Description

We set off on the morning of  Oct. 3rd, and ride 260 kms to Sanjiaolongwan in two days(3rd, 4th), a series of volcanic lakes in Huinan County, Tonghua, Jilin Prov. Visit the lakes on 5th, cycle back on 6th and 7th. If you want to save 2days and avoid cyclling on the same road twice in 5days, you may also choose to rent a car big enough back to Changchun, it's exactly what I will do.

This time, you must be a cycler with a decent bike and some experience of cycling trip. And you need to call me at 13578883720 for more details, and I will meet you before the trip.

Penny, you can start with short-distance trip, like cycle around the banks of the Yitong River, a real 'cycling', lol. You can ride my bike, I have 3, though 2 of them are 山寨货(I don't know how to  translate, maybe knockoff will do, hahah, may you add, Penny). They are not fake, they are real, but they are real-fake ones.

I think it's almost impossible to rent a sports bike. They are a little bit expensive, they are seldom rent, they need careful maintenance A bike is a must, yes, it is. But there are some other musts, a helmet, a pair of gloves and some experience, some physical strength, and overall, strong mental power . Physically, to cycle 130 kms a day is not a big deal for a grown-up woman , but if it is like what I guess that you haven't got any long-distance cycling experience,  i don't sugest you to start cycling with a 260-km trip. I am not sure whether I suppose your condition in a right way or not, throw me a phone call if you are really interested in this trip or in cycling, that will make the comunication much easier, coz we both speak Chinese excellently.
