For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Event Description

Some Chinese friends of mine are planning a trip to Ji’ An city, which is a small town boarding North Korea. Meihekou city is where the wedding of Matt and Marta will take place and is about half way between Changchun and Ji’An. They have invite us to join their group after we’ve finished at the wedding there in Meihekou city. Everybody is welcome.
They will rent a bus passing by Meihekou around the noon on 3rd Oct. and will head straight for Five Sisters National Forest Park directly, which is a famous mountainous scenic spot. Then we go on to a small dam in a valley, which is owned by a local friend of Bill Zhang, Mr. Dong, who will provide us with dinner, barbecue, campfire, tables and chairs and ELECTRICITY.

The second day Oct. 4th, we will visit a world cultural heritage site in Ji’An city called “Capital Cities and Tombs of the Ancient Koguryo Kingdom” also famously known as “Easter Pyramids” (http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/1135). Then we will come back to Changchun at night.

Bill Zhang has made an Itinerary on Google maps for the trip; you guys can browse it for more details at the link below.

Note: We will investigate all he expense in the whole trip according to numbers of people will attending.
