OVERVIEW: New Horizon International Language and Culture School is a private language and culture school in Jilin City, Jilin Province, China. Founded 1999, the school has grown from a one-classroom school with one student to having nine locations in Jilin and Liaoning Province. The school offers many different classes with their own distinct characteristics.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Develop marketing campaigns (advertisements, events, activities, demo classes) to best market foreign teacher classes.

 

Execute marketing campaigns. Hold events, create advertising billboards, have activity classes. Management of existing advertising signage.

 

Develop overall strategy for foreign teaching department.

 

Recruitment of foreign teachers and all associated tasks (taking teachers to get registered, health checks, obtaining the proper documents, etc.)

 

Creation and maintenance of a foreign teaching department website.

 

Help foreign teachers find things/do things in Jilin. (ex. Helping to find the location of a branch school they have classes at).

 

Developing curriculums for new programs & Updating existing curriculums.

(Long term and summer programs)

 

Holding weekly training sessions for teachers

 

Scheduling and being the Chinese administration liaison.

 

Contract updates & policy creation.

 

Teaching supplies procurement (textbooks, markers, teaching guides, etc.)

 

Lead teaching quality control initiatives.

 

Help teachers improve their in-class abilities

 

 

REQUIREMENT FOR MARKETING DIRECTOR 


• Bachelors degree
• Minimum 1 year teaching ESL/EFL
• Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand
• Able to speak Chinese at an intermediate level
• Prior management experience is a plus
• The ideal candidate will be someone who works well in a team, has a positive outlook, likes meeting people, passionate about teaching, and making friends.

hi my name is grant armtrong and I am a Canadian native speaker and certified teacher   I have taught in China before at north east normal university and also at a training school.  In addition, I have evaluated and trained Chinese teachers of English in Hei Cheng China.

 

In Taiwan, I worked as vice-director and then director of a private kindergarten/elementary school with 16 foreign teachers and 16 Chinese teachers of English under my management

 

I am interested in this positon but my age is 72  and in perfect health  working in private schools does not pose a problem as long as I give the school a letter saying I will provide my own insurance  I have done tis successfully before at the private training center and also north east normal university.   It is more difficult but not impossible, to find employment in the public sector.
