For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.
Do you like to throw sharp, pointy objects at a small, round target eight feet away? Do you like to have a good time with great, like-minded people? Do you like to drink beer ?
Let's hear from everyone who would like to start up and/or join a dart league in the 'chun.

Why don't you ask if you can install a dartboard at the bowling alley? That way you can add to the crowd already there. Darts and bowling go well together....
Oh, one more thing ...
Please take note of the "Here is what is planned:" statement.
This statement, in and of itself, leaves options on the table.
Well, Vinz, it's very simple, really. If CCF can have Thursday bowling, which seems to work out just fine every week, I don't see a problem with darts doing the same thing.
If people are not still available, then their names will be struck, and teams adjusted accordingly. That's why we have spares. For example, Jeff is in Siping, that's why I made him a spare. I KNOW he won't be available every week.
Besides, things are always bound to change. It's called the uncertainty principle. I don't have a problem with seeing how many people show up to play each night and forming ad hoc teams on the spot. I'm very flexible that way.
The reason I made teams was so that people COULD have fun. They can name their teams, If people want, they can have team uniforms (same clothes - doesn't necessarily have to be a "uniform"), have set rivalries, gain more of a competitive spirit, etc.
If all you are going to do is join to complain, and you aren't really going to play darts, why didn't you just send me a private message?
Here is what is planned:
Two divisions. Division 1 plays out of the World Life Club, Division 2 plays out of Mahatma Jack's. I will be in charge of Division 1, and Heather will be in charge of Division 2. Game play will begin at 7:00 PM. The format will be best of 3 games, 501 double in, double out.
We will start on Wednesday, October 31st, and every Wednesday night after that. Division 1 has 2 spares, division 2 has 1 spare. I encourage the spares to show up in case a team is short a player.
Statistics will be kept for high-in, high-out, high score, and number of 180's (perfect score).'
Since we have 27 players, it works out to 4 teams of 3 for each division, plus one spare for each division.
Here are the teams:
Division A
Team 1
Chris Knight, Domenik Napenas, Julia Tong
Team 2
Lang Lee, Martin, Sebastien Bossard
Team 3
Aussie Matt, Richard Ridaealgh, Richard Roman
Team 4
Barbara, Jerry Zhang, Rayce
Spares
Jeff Walsh, Milla
Division B
Team 1

Team 2

Team 3
Matt Keuler, Peng (Linus), Valentina
Team 4
