For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

A great time was had by everyone in Siping. Yes, we won the tournament by a narrow margin (4-3), but the important thing is that we had a blast! We won the team game, with the assistance of some of Jeff's students, and Raphael. We started off slowly, but quickly made our way down from a 1001 start. I ended up taking us to the win on a double 10. In the singles, neither Heather nor I I fared very well. I, unfortunately got stuck on a double 1 and couldn't finish. The doubles game is still a little foggy. I'm not sure what happened there. Everyone shot some nice darts last night, and I think we have a good beginning to some excellent future tournaments with Siping.

I'd like to thank Jeff, who put it all together, and our wonderful hosts, Raphael and David, of the EULOOK. Right from the very beginning, they made us feel welcome, and when the evening ended, we had all made some wonderful new friends.

I would like to be the first to formally extend our hospitality and invite the Siping crew to Changchun on the evening of June 9th, for our Queen's Jubilee Darts Tournament and Latin Dance Party. We may not have any of that delicious Belgian chocolate, but I'm sure we can come up with something.

Dart players ... please visit the "9 days to go" event and indicate whether you are going to the Siping tournament or not. If you are going, We need to discuss where to meet to go there.

Thank you

Awesome.  I won't be going to the states until the end of May so we'll have to get what we can now.  Also, I'll post it on the event, but David told me about the buses when I was on the trip to Shenyang.  He claims they're every 30 min...so that could be a better option.

There is a "Darts Store" in the Siping Pub. I will take a look and give you an "inventory" of what is in it...

King--Chris and I were waiting to have the League teams picked after the June 9th Tournament.  Until then, we're just going to pick teams out of a hat upon arrival of all those who want to play.  Then whomever wishes to take the Curmudgeons team name can take it. ;)

Does Steve Mallow have a Changchun Curmudegoeons Darts Team? I'll have to ask him next time I see him....
