For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

How's things
Hi Richard
Hey Simon! Long time no see!
from which city are you departing from?
That sounds good ! I found one for 2900 inc tax in qunar.com . Same dates. Please let me know if you find something cheaper. Thanks for your help Simon !
Alejandro. I found a price for around 3300 Yuan return inc tax leaving Aug 1st returning Aug 10th
Hi Simon my name is Alex and I'd like to know how much it could cost me to go to Osaka (Kansai district/aiport) in Japan, around ends of July/beginning of August. with a return ticket after 10 days maybe. Either from Changchun, Shenyang or Beijing, it's all good. Looking forward to hear from you.

Simon,
I'm looking to fly from Changchun to NYC to be there early on June 1, but if early is impossible, I just need to be there on June 1. Returning to Changchun can be an arrival on the 4th, 5th, or 6th...whatever is cheapest. I have found some on Orbitz for 1412 USD, but my school can only find some for 11811RMB as the cheapest. Any recommendations?
Hi Jemma
I would suggest a trip to Hong Kong. I can get you some great prices flying from Changchun to Shenzhen and then taking a bus from Shenzhen across to Hong Kong 980 RMB one-way inc tax, or you could get a return ticket to Bangkok flying from Beijing for around 3000 RMB inc tax. If you were to choose Hong Kong, I would suggest staying in Shenzhen near the border crossing as hotels in Hong Kong are double the price. The bus tickets from Shenzhen to Hong Kong are only 20 - 40 RMB and takes around 30 minutes to get into downtown Kowloon.
