For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

the train leaves at 7pm arrives in suifenhe at 915am. then from there get a bus from the bus station to vvo quite a few per day. let me warn you. little or no english is spoken there especially from the russians. the russians that i've met in changchun have spoken english quite well, but the russians i met whilst in russia spoke little or no english. though i did meet some who spoke chinese which made communication easier

or you could take tbe bus from harbin to vvo, i think it leaves once daily, i need to reconfirm though.takes 12 hours. there is a train as well, well a carriage tbat connects on the back of a chinese train heading to suifenhe, then re connects on the back of a russian train to continue its journey to vvo. i've heard its really slow.

There are a couple of ways to get across. you could get the train from changchun to suifenhe which is on the border of russia from there its a 2 hour bus trip from there to vvo or hou could fly to yanji then take a bus frm there to hunchun then from there take a bus to vvo. flights to yanji are around 170 plus tax

Vladivostok.... That's an interesting destination.I've always wanted to go there. But I'm sorry to say that there are no flights from Changchun to VVO. There is one from Harbin and of course Beijing.

Where did you want to fly from?

Have you ever thought of doing a land crossing. It's really not that far. I've been to the border a few times.
