For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Band on the Run, one of my favourite records. We go from Liverpool's The Beatles to Jimmy from a Scottish village nobody has ever heard

Have you heard of Wings? Only the band the Beatles could have been!

The  Beatles? I keep hearing how great they are. Oh yeah? What have they done lately?

The Beatles will be hard to beat, Echo and the Bunnymen were fun, but I never heard of The Kaisor Chiefs

I come from a little village that is still listed in undiscovered Scotland. The only thing famous to come from there was a bull who won second prize at the county fair: He was really big in my village for awhile. The nearest town and where I went to school is Helensburgh, and this is where Deborah Kerr was born and bred - you know - the King and I - "I could of danced all night", I can hear you singing it from here. Since then no-one but I did meet a guy named Jimmy that said he could play the piano a wee bitty but I didnae believe him as that family burnt everything made of wood to keep the hoose warm.

Me: Toronto Canada. The biggest, baddest band from TO (that's what we call Toronto) is RUSH.  Beat that!
