"I don't care if I'm with zee Germans or zee French, I just hope everybody has a sense of humor and doesn't get carried away! A training day sounds quite good--it also doubles the fun! I could also use a .pdf to study up. I am on QQ…"
"I'm new in town myself.
All small branches are closed during the holiday; however, the big Agricultural bank in Renmin (People's) Square is open. I also saw a Bank of Jilin branch there with a western union which was open.

A little something about yourself - hobbies, interests, favorites, goals, etc
I'm a rogue linguist working in China with Dipont Education. I love reading, learning new languages, bicycling, taking long walks, and surfing the net. I've taught in Ukraine, Hungary, China, Taiwan, South Korea，and at two universities in the USA.I have an MA in Applied English Linguistics, so I love studying phonetics, etc, and another MA in a very obscure, useless field which at least makes very good conversation at a party. I'm a big science geek, and I love scifi, comedies, dramas, etc. Nietzsche once said a life without music is impossible, and I have been demonstrating the fallacy in his thinking for a good decade now; just don't really feel like owning it. I'm looking for language exchange partners, so you can add me on QQ: 1930812419. As for goals, I am planning to write two books: one serious, one quite not. A little world-domination would be groovy, too, but I just turned 39, so I think the window of opportunity on that is closing. C'est la vie, next life. Hope to make some good friends here: Be well!
