Well, Germany beat Holland so this means they are pretty sure to go through to the quarter finals
Tonight Spain vs Croatia which looks pretty tasty!

Russia and poland draw and the Czechs beat the Greeks. Now for one of the big matches - Germany and Holland! Holland must win to stay in the tournament

Biggest shock of the first batch of matches was Holland losing.

Early thoughts - Russia and Croatia looked good and Holland have problems. Spain and Italy have to be very wary of the Croats

Pretty well all the matches look interesting but I am going with Germany and Holland tonight

Let s see what Russia will do against a more worthy opponent such as England Ukraine or France (or sweden!) in Quarter finals. I used to be a fan of the Czech technique in the 90's but nowdays, they've lost it.
I believe making Russia a candidate for final victory after this game is a bit prematured.
