For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Ha, that's funny since last week I lost my wallet, but because I had this documentation inside, it found its way back to me from a kind and considerate art college student!! So carrying this kind of information really does have its benefits too.

Carrying ID in any other country is necessary so why not here. I know British police have the right to stop anyone in the street and ask for documentation. But I also know a photocopy is acceptable. Does anyone know if this is the case in China. That surely would be acceptable to all, just fold a copy up and slip it in your wallet. I have both expert
License and passport in my wallet.

As to natives changing their opinions of us...well I ask you seriously, what kinds of opinions do we have of them back home! Looks like its being mirrored back at us!!
