For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Changchun Friends

a great way to get involved

Thinking of setting up a Changchun Friends discount card - what do you all think?

I am thinking of a joint Changchun Friends/Changchun Live discount card which, when shown at places that agree will give a discount - restaurants, bars, shops hotels etc.

Any views on this?

Yes! AMEX, Visa and all these companies are so yesterdays news. Changchun Friends is the card to have!

After negotiations with all the major hotel chains (Ritz, Hyatt etc) we are pleased to announce our first corporate partner - Grandpa's in Chanchun

This is our first step to global dominance!

Ill get my accounts team and the CCF legal team onto it right away Richard. When do you want the team to list the site on the NYSX?

It has in the past. This face launched a many number of colognes in eastern Europe. I will start doing the rounds at all the big joints when we have the stickers, and every single business in this town loves to see foreigners rocking up. Little cafes and restaurants, flying elephant, millas, the music and book store on xi kang lu, and lets find a CCF barber, that we will all go to, again, just ideas but i love the main idea Richard. Leave it to the MD, just get me those stickers.

I think it is a good idea. I think only Richard and I are the only ones aware of what David is talking about, but if we are going to do this then we need our newly appointed marketing dude(ette) to help push it around the city. Not all establishments will want to do it, but I am sure some would like to offer a small discount to our members.
We need cards and stickers!

Has CCF arranged such a card in the past?  If so, what was the result?

Comment by Richard Roman on June 10, 2012 at 22:03
