For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Changchun Friends

a great way to get involved

Changchunfriends is hosting a holiday musicale on Dec. 17 at Happy Home.  This will be an international event as we are looking for singers, instrumentalists and readers from the Changchun ex-pat community and local talent.

If you want to sing in a choir or would like to sing or play a solo or give a reading, please contact David Puckett (白大卫)on Changchunfriends or at PuckDirect@hotmail.com.

If you do not want to participate, we hope that you will come and enjoy an evening of fun and music presented by your friends both foreign and national who make Changchun their home.

Hey David how is the organisation going?

David, I said I would help steven mellow with something but I think I would like to read a short story or a poem. Is this ok!!

Yes, have you down for a short story or poem.  The order of the readings will be Richard Roman, Steve's group and then you.  I hope someone will read, "The night before Christmas." or is that too trite?  What do you think?

I believe Steve is doing a reader's choir, not sure of the author yet.

Well, we have music sung in Latin, Russian, Chinese, English, Spanish, French and German; guitar soloist and group, piano duet, a BIG surprise that I'm not telling anyone and the three readings, you, Richard Ridealgh and Steve Mellows group.  Is there anyway to get a poster up about this?
