For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Changchun Friends

a great way to get involved

Its time i got this temple in shape, so anyone on the mission let me know, want to join a gym (preferably in my area, around south lake). Also fancy buying a bike to "bomb it" around south lake...how much are bikes (not a fancy one), and where to buy one? Thanks in advance!

Hello I will be in the market soon for a touring bike, like a Surly Long Haul Trucker. Something sturdy that you can do long multi day trips on. Any ideas?

Have you got a bike? Damalu is not a place of much decent bikes.

For decent manufacturing bikes there are three main choices in Changchun: Giant(6 stores), Merida(4 stores) and Trek(1 store).  For parts like wheels, frames, forks, chains and pedals..., there are 4 main stores in the Chun. I will recommend you a reasonable store after you let me know a bike of what kind or level you want.
