For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Changchun Friends

a great way to get involved

This is a discussion post to list everything about the airports we visit. As we come from around the world we should have plenty of advice
to offer people as to what to expect

Airports can be commented on more than once if you have different observations

Moscow airport

Very expensive - a beer will cost you 60 Rmb and meals are also highly priced
You must have Roubles with you. There is no currency exchange- some places will take Us dollars but really do advise having some roubles

On the plus side:
Lots of smoking areas!
The music is not your usual hotel wallpaper rubbish - real music if you van find the right place- I was listening to some great rock music whilst sitting at the bar opposite my flight area. Definitely a big plus

New Delhi Airport

Has been refurbished fantastically in the last 3-4 years and has an excellent ambience and facilities. The airport has been themed in a very cultural style with Buddha and authentic indian extravaganza welcoming you. Of late i have heard there are spas, yoga and a lot of duty free goodies within the airport.

In all the experience inside the Delhi airport is very warm and genial. But make sure once u check out of teh aiprot into the city you pretty well know where to head and how. Else it could be a good rider for you
