For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

Editior’s note: I started with this idea several days ago when John and I were discussing something about Changchun and China. I felt it a helpful and practical idea to edit a weekly report on what’s going on in the City of Not-That-Spring and China. Each issue consisted of local news and the hottest key words searched by millions of Chinese on Baidu.com will be posted on every Friday night or Saturday morning.

Hello Martin,

Hope you have 'recovered' from last night's delicious German meal. I haven't finished to digest it yet! I have only been drinking green tea today, so far... We might also attend Gaia's Indian dinner at the world life club on Saturday night (if we don't have to attend a last minute event at school), so may be see you on Saturday. Take care.

Thanks for the friend request. Glad to oblige. Let me know when you are free for tea/lunch/dinner to exchange ideas about teaching and writing. I am a man of great curiosity so I could learn more about Chinese people, history, and culture from you. Interested in things Americana? I'll try to answer before returning to the States in August. Let's exchange cell numbers, if you like. There must be a way to share numbers that is not so public.
