For the most part, the Changchun Friends website is not very active and has been superseded by the Tencent "Wechat" app by the local expat community. This website is maintained sporadically, people may still join and membership is still open, but if you are a spammer, stay away. The archived information here is still useful, but some may be out of date. There are plans to make it more useful for static information in the future. If anyone needs information about Changchun or China, you may post a message and it probably will get a response but not immediately.

A Chinese firm has decided Scorpios and Virgos are too moody and critical, telling job seekers with those star signs they need not apply. Capricorns, Pisces and Libras, on the other hand, are welcome.
Thank goodness - I am a Pisces!…

After hearing Richard Romans Radical, almost unbelievable views on climate change, i have to say that studies like this found on the BBC are in fact, only reinforcing the issue that we; as human beings, are not really changing anything!! Really???
Global temperatures could be less sensitive to changing atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) levels than…

World's largest dating event sees 20,000 Chinese search for love On a sunny day on the outskirts of Shanghai on Sunday, 20,000 hopeful, curious and in some cases desperate Chinese gathered for the world's largest dating event.
But it would be misjudging the mood to say love was in the air.
Instead, in a business convention centre, a stream of pragmatic men and women briskly exchanged vital statistics and contact…

Better than beijing!
Beijing pea-soup pollution has deteriorated dramatically in recent months forcing a lead official to concede the country's air standards were not being monitored correctly.
As a pall of yellow-brown smog settled over Beijing yesterday (FRI), the city's air pollution index stood at 84, or grade 2. That officially made it a "blue sky day", according to Beijing's environmental bureau.

For The Fallen
With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.
Solemn the drums thrill; Death august and royal
Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres,
There is music in the midst of desolation
And a glory that shines upon our tears.
They went with songs to the battle, they were young,…

Far from promoting growth and political solidarity, which is what the single currency was supposed to do, the euro is in fact achieving the opposite effect, by condemning the eurozone to long term recession and now extreme political infighting. Again, it cannot be right to persist with something which is achieving the opposite of what it was meant to simply because the alternatives are thought to be worse.
What does anyone here think? This is serious

Not only is longhand a much more portable way to write, it's also much more individual
...........There are far too many distractions when writing directly onto the screen. The internet being the main culprit. But if that's not all, the computer screen itself is enough to put some writers off completely.
Read the whole article! Power to the pen!…

Good films or TV shows make people think.
Men and women are two different kinds of animals.
What they want, what they think, or how they play the game.
But to the deepest of the both,
Every one wants to love and be loved back.
Some leave, and some come.
When in relationships, they want free.
When live by themselves, they are afraid of being lonely.
Oh, Nov.11
No.I am alone...
God! Could u ...?
You got me, right?
